Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 ANZAC Day Eve Guernsey commemorates the 90th anniversary of the Shrine of Remembrance. The guernsey’s design features the original blue prints drawn by Philip Hudson and James Wardrop. The two returned-soldier architects won a competition to design a National War Memorial to honour the sacrifices of Victorians during WW1. 11 years later in 1934, the Shrine of Remembrance opened. As is tradition, the names of the Melbourne Football Club players who lost their lives while serving for their country during the world wars feature on the back of the guernsey.
